When worn properly on bare skin, the conductive inner layer of the anti static wristband picks up static charge from your body. That charge travels through the grounding cord, passes through the 1MΩ resistor, and safely dissipates into the ground — never reaching your sensitive electronics.

Step 3: Attach the Grounding Cord
Snap or clip the cord securely to the wrist band.
