The process of static electricity on ungrounded ESD coverall is roughly as follows:

4. Among the positive and negative ions generated by corona discharge, the ions with the opposite nature of the charge carried by the fabric or clothing move to the fabric or clothing, neutralize with the charge carried by the fabric or clothing, and eliminate static electricity.

At the same time of corona discharge, the induced charge accumulates around the ESD coverall and then leaks into the earth. When the charged body (fabric or clothing) is close to the grounded ESD coverall, positive and negative ions are generated around the ESD coverall, in which the ions opposite to the charge carried by the charged body move to the charged body for neutralization, and the ions with the same charge as the charged body leak to the earth through the electrostatic work clothes, so that the static electricity is eliminated.
